Menko is a very old Japanese card game that was popular since the Edo period and played by two or more players. One player places a thick cardboard menko card on hardwood or concrete floor and the other player throws down his/her card, trying to flip the other player’s card with a gust of wind or by striking his/her card against the other card. If he/she is sucessful they get to keep both cards. The player who takes all the cards or the has the most cards at the game’s end wins. The game is pretty much just like “pogs” that was popular when I was ten years old!
